July Newsletter

July is Here

As we head into the hottest months of the summer, let us enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. We finally have a sense of normalcy returning, though there is a long way to go before things are truly "normal" again. While we are happy to see people returning to parks and activities, let us not forget to maintain CDC guidelines in order to keep our vulnerable populations safe. Now is a great time to enjoy the outdoors, whether it be by going for a hike or sitting outside with a friend.

New addition to The Petty Motorworks Team

I would like to take a moment to welcome Joe Peragine our team.  I have know Joe for over 20 years so when he became available due to some Covid-19 layoffs it was a no brainer to try and get him to join our team.  Joe began his automotive career at the age of 17 and quickly discovered his passion for fixing cars. Joe attended Lincoln Technical School while working at at small family owned shop just like ours and it was at this shop, under the tutelage of the shop owner that he gained the experience needed to pursue his career. To this day he still stays in contact with them and admires how they helped him grow into the technician that he is today.  Later on, when he decided to move to the shore he worked for several dealer but wanted to return to his roots of working in the community at a local service station and shortly thereafter secured a job working for Bob Stohrer at Manahawkin Shell and Quality Tire for over 22 years. Joe is an ASE Master Certified Technician with many years of experience under his belt. Joe also has a passion for classic cars and enjoys racing his 1972 650HP Camaro at Atco Raceway.
Joe has been married to his wife Chris for 31 years and is very proud of his two sons, both serving our country in the U.S. Coast Guard. We are very excited to have Joe on the Petty Motorworks Team!
